Slip

Just sitting here having a glass of Shiraz and quite enjoying it.

I suddenly remembered something my daughter told me which was quite funny. It's one of those stories that they decide to tell you just as you are cutting vegetables for salad, the dog is jumping around all over the place, the phone is ringing and your trying out a new recipe. It was hard to take it all in but I did remember this.

About two weeks back during a snow day the teacher asked the kids if they had any ideas for games the class could play. My lovely daughter puts up her hand and says 'how 'bout we play shiraz?' Of course, the teacher looked at her with a curious look so my daughter says 'you know, that game where you have to say how many words it is, you can't speak and you act it out'.

Yeah. She meant charades! Maybe I need to lay off the booze.

I love myself a good Shiraz.

NAT - there is a bumper sticker that reads 'live long enough to be a burden to your children'. i like that. but mine will say something like 'live long enough to embarrase your children' .... pay back sucks. anyhow, yeah they do this kinda thing all the time. once at school they were asked to draw a picture of a suburban retail plaza. both of the girls, both of them! drew a plaza with an LCBO, a BEER store and a MACs milk in it. Beer, wine and milk .... all the necessities. thanks for the visit nat.

hehe, I love those ages when the kids say the most memorable things.

I saw your comments on xup today and forgot you're a mom of twins, too. Man, the gut! I play with mine, squishing it like playdough and juggling it around all day. bluck. Sorry, I realize that has nothing do with your post today.

Kids and the funny things they say!

CURB - i love all comments, related or not!!

yes, kids are the best ain't they! i could write a book about some of the funny or embarrasing things that they have said. is your gut really bad - can't be as bad as mine?! my kids are like 11 now so mine should be much smaller than it is.
